Dentists Show Compassion to Needy Families
During a time when many businesses are cutting back, one North Carolina family dentist is reaching out.


HIGH POINT, NC, February 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As the unemployment rate in the Greensboro have climbed well above the national average, three dentists have decided to give back to those who have lost everything.

From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 19, 2010, Dr. Bertrand Bonnick' s office will host an event called "Dentistry with a Heart." The purpose of the event is to provide free dentistry to patients who have recently lost a job and are not covered under Medicaid or insurance plans.

At the event, patients can receive a free filling, cleaning, or extraction. Treatments are by appointment only. Those eligible for the program include Dr. Bonnick's patients as well as individuals referred by the Guilford County Adult Dental Program, House of Prayer and many others.

"In this world, you have people who've helped you at times when you were really down," said Dr. Bonnick. "We wanted to take this opportunity to turn around and show that same compassion to others."

Joining Dr. Bonnick will be Drs. Robert Kreigsman and David Yu. Dr. Kreigsman has been practicing general dentistry since 1960 and is a member of the Southern Occlusal Society. Dr. David Yu earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UNC Chapel Hill and currently practices with Dr. Bonnick. Like Dr. Bonnick, Dr. Kreigsman and Yu have been involved in mission work around the world.
