Atlantic Tire's Craig Hughes Achieves ASE Certification
Service Technician Earns A4 and A5 Certifications

CARY, NC, July 21, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Atlantic Tire & Service, a locally owned automotive repair center with three locations in the Triangle, is pleased to announce that Craig Hughes, service technician at the Cary location, has earned A4 and A5 certifications from the National Institute for Automobile Service Excellence (ASE). A4 certification addresses suspension and steering, and A5 certification covers brakes.

ASE is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. Today, more than 350,000 professionals hold ASE certifications and work in every part of the automotive service industry.

"We are extremely proud of Craig for earning his ASE A4 and A5 certifications," said Anthony Blackman, owner of Atlantic Tire & Service. "We encourage our employees to pursue professional certification and accreditation in order to become more knowledgeable and better serve our customers."

Employee ASE certification also helps Atlantic Tire retain its ASE Blue Seal of Excellence. Repair shops participating in the program must have at least 75 percent of technicians performing diagnosis and repairs be ASE certified, and each service area in the shop must have at least one ASE Certified Technician.

Atlantic Tire & Service's highly trained staff includes a number of ASE Certified Master Technicians, TIA Certified Tire Technicians and an ASE Certified Automobile Service Consultant. The organization has earned numerous local and national awards, including being named the 2008 Top Shop in North America by Tire Review magazine and winning multiple Maggy Awards for automotive repair from the readers of Cary Magazine.
